Moving on

We moved in last Thursday and all went relatively smooth!  Now we are busy unpacking boxes, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel.  Or in our case, I am able to see the garage now instead of brown boxes everywhere!  We are loving our new home and can’t believe we are here!

Last Friday was a crazy day!  Natalie was bit by a hornet and had to go to urgent care, which thankfully is less than 5 minutes from our house.  Her arm was all red and swollen and we weren’t sure what happened so our pediatrician instructed us to take her to urgent care.  It’s there that we were told it was probably a hornet.  She is doing much better now.

Then Friday night we headed down to Navy Pier with Andrew, Hailey, and Natalie for our next overnight.  We had a gorgeous hotel room right on the pier.  We basically just hung out there and our hotel the whole time.  Saturday we went to the Chicago Children’s Museum, too.  We enjoyed ourselves.

Hailey called this “God’s Chair” - lol not sure God would have a Margaritaville chair!?
Fancy breakfast at the hotel - bananas foster French toast

View from our master balcony at our house.  Great place for my quiet time in the AMs.

The excitement did not end with our trip to Navy Pier and back.  Sunday morning Andrew was baptized at church!  Sunday night Addison broke her ankle!  She jumped 6 stairs!!!!!!  What!?  Her ankle was all swollen and she couldn’t bear weight.  So we went back to urgent care (it’s already getting handy that, that UC is so close to our new house - yikes) and they did x-rays. She was referred to ortho and Sean took her down to that appointment today.  Great news is she did not need to be casted.  The doctor is just going to have her wear a boot instead.  She has to follow up in two weeks.  She’s been a real trooper about it all.  Ryan found her crawling with her boot on to the hammocks in our woods at our house because she wanted to hang out with her siblings! That must have been a sight.

Andrew’s baptism

So that’s it for now!  Shew!
